Vintage Sterling Silver Braided Leather Romel Vaquero Reins

This is a beautiful pair of traditionally styled Sterling Silver braided 12 plait chocolate brown dark oil supple leather romel reins in the Vaquero "California" style popular at West Coast shows in the 1970's and 1980's. 

These reins feature 12 beautifully engraved Sterling Silver ferrules.  Both the braiding and the ferrules are in very well maintained pre owned condition. 

The reins are a great length and weight with a popper end for added motivation for your horse.

The reins measure 8 feet 2 inches long from the bit to the popper.  The reins are 49 inches in length by a little more than 3/8 inches in diameter with a 49 inch long romel.

These romel reins are hand braided in the "California pattern" with each engraved ferrule separated by two rings and a large long knot in an alternating pattern.
